Ariana Grande finished her Eternal Sunshine tour in London on Tuesday night, delivering an emotional performance that left the crowd in tears.
During the encore “One Last Time,” she brought the audience closer, kneeling down and calling out to London for help, a gesture that resonated after the 2017 Manchester terrorist attack.
Later in the set she slipped into the bittersweet “Nowhere, Nobody,” voice catching when she sang “Hard to believe in a perfect ending.” The moment was brief but left a lasting impression.
Despite a foot injury that forced her to swap stilettos for knee‑high platform boots, Grande remained electrifying, hopping and dancing with her team, showing that her physical energy was intact.
After the final song, she thanked fans with a tearful, heartfelt message. “I have the best fans in the world and I am so grateful for the love you give me, thank you for all of your effort,” she said, promising to cherish the experience.
Last month the 33‑year‑old announced she would step back from public‑facing work, citing endless scrutiny and a desire for personal space. She will also withdraw from production of Stephen Sondheim’s “Sunday in the Park with George” at London’s Barbican.
This tour marks her return to the stage after a seven‑year absence and will be the last chance for fans attracted from the United States, China, Australia and across Europe for the 200,000 people who filled the O2 arena.
