Turkey Detains Istanbul Mayor Ekrem Imamoglu Amidst Corruption Allegations

On Wednesday morning, Ekrem Imamoglu, the mayor of Istanbul and a significant figure in Turkey's opposition, was arrested at his home on charges of corruption and terrorism, according to a statement from the city's prosecutor’s office.
