This action was taken just two days after the Houthi militia successfully launched a ballistic missile that struck near Ben-Gurion International Airport, one of Israel’s busiest travel hubs, injuring at least six individuals. This sequence of aggressive exchanges underscores the heightened tensions between Israel and the Houthi forces, who are operating under the influence of Iran.

The Yemeni airport plays a critical role, serving over 20 million residents in Houthi-controlled regions, though the extent of the damage following the Israeli bombardment remains unclear.
