In a candid interview with Vanity Fair, Sydney Sweeney, the star of the successful rom-com "Anyone But You," shared her thoughts on the notion of female solidarity in the entertainment industry, labeling it as "fake." The actress, also renowned for her roles in "Euphoria" and "The White Lotus," expressed her disappointment, asserting that the mantra of "women empowering women" is often merely a façade.

“It’s disheartening to see women tear each other down,” Sweeney said, referencing a particularly hurtful comment from a female Hollywood producer. The producer had publicly questioned Sweeney's talent and looks, remarks that Sweeney found "shameful" and damaging, especially coming from someone within the industry who should ideally support emerging talent.

As one of Hollywood’s breakout stars, Sweeney delved into why this antagonism might exist.
