In a recent statement, International Atomic Energy Agency's Rafael Grossi indicates that U.S. military strikes have effectively disabled the centrifuges at Fordo, causing irreversible damage.

U.N. nuclear watchdog confirms substantial damage to uranium enrichment site post-bunker-buster attacks.
Centrifuges situated at Iran's Fordo uranium enrichment facility have been declared "no longer operational" following a targeted U.S. military assault using bunker-buster bombs, according to Rafael Grossi, the director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). Speaking on French radio, Grossi relayed that although assessing damage through satellite images presents challenges, the significant power of the U.S. munitions suggests substantial destruction of sensitive equipment.
"Given the technical characteristics of the plant, we can confidently conclude that these centrifuges are no longer capable of functioning appropriately," Grossi explained during an interview with Radio France Internationale. He emphasized that the delicate nature of centrifuge machinery makes them particularly susceptible to the kind of violent impacts that such bombings induce.
Grossi elaborated, "Centrifuges require an extraordinary level of precision to operate effectively. In this case, the vibrations and physical shocks from the strikes would have created insurmountable damage."
As developments continue to unfold, the IAEA's assessment remains a focal point amidst ongoing tensions regarding Iran's nuclear ambitions and international responses.
